Classes & Lessons
The Yarn Shop offers crochet, Tunisian crochet, knitting, and hand spinning classes for all levels.
We have found the a formal class schedule doesn’t work well for our customers nor our staff, so we prefer to set up classes on the basis of interest. This means you can set up a class that fits your schedule, and you’ll receive a one on one (Or one on two or three if you have friends that would like to join you!) learning experience.
We are available to teach during most of our opening hours: Wednesday through Friday from noon to 5pm, and Saturdays from noon to 3pm.
The cost for entry level crochet, knitting, or drop spindle spinning is $50 per student. Your class will include hook/needles/spindle, a ball of yarn/fiber, and two hours of instruction. We prefer the two hours of instruction to be broken up into two one-hour sessions. Doing that, you can learn the first couple of stitches, go home to practice, and then come back with questions and to learn refinement and the next stitches.
Advanced lessons, individual help with a pattern or task/stitch, and other lessons cost $25 per hour plus any supplies that you do not provide yourself.
